Hey, Port Townsend, WA is a micro area now (which it has felt like for a long time). All is right in the universe.

The Reno MSA gained Lyon County, which feels right. Still doesn't have Carson City, which feels strange.

CSA - Speed Skim Changes (please flag if I misread)
  • Allentown: +Monroe
  • Atlanta: -Lamar
  • Baton Rouge: +Tangipahoa
  • Boston: -Northeastern Connecticut
  • Charlotte: +Alexander, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, McDowell (WOW!!!)
  • Chattanooga: -Gordon, Rhea, + Jackson
  • Cincinnati: -Mason, Union
  • Cleveland: +Coshocton, Ottawa, Sandusky (Cleveland is a big winner)
  • Columbus: +Athens
  • Dallas: +Hopkins
  • Houston: +San Jacinto
  • Huntsville: +DeKalb, Lincoln, Marshall (WOW!)
  • Indianapolis: -Jennings, +Howard, Miami, Tipton
  • Memphis: +Benton, Coahoma
  • Miami: +Okeechobee
  • Nashville: +Coffee, Franklin, Hickman, Moore
  • New Haven: Major Changes. A New CSA of 2.675 million.
  • New Orleans: -Tangipahoa (Oof)
  • New York: -Monroe, Naugatuck Valley, Northwest Hills, South Central Connecticut, +Sullivan (that’s more than a million lost from my glance)
  • Orlando: -Hardee
  • Pittsburgh: +Mercer
  • Raleigh: -Granville, +Harnett, Lee (consolidation prize for those expecting a unified MSA)
  • Salt Lake City: +Oneida
  • San Antonio: -Frio, +Gillespie, Kerr
  • San Francisco: -Sonoma (very surprising)
  • Washington: +Dorchester, Orange (Orange I was confident about, Dorchester is a definite dark horse)

No other changes spotted for all notable metros.

Durham MSA lost Granville County.

It looks like the Raleigh-Durham CSA lost Granville but gained Lee and Harnett (roughly 140,000 added).

Good maybe I won't have to hear the weatherman on Ch 7 get all jacked up about the weather in Pike County (2+ hrs from NYC) anymore.

The hilarity of a Bay Area CSA that includes Merced, Modesto, and Stockton Counties in the Central Valley, but not Sonoma that actually rings the bay.
