Hmm, do we have a state religion? Like the Anglican Church in England or the Islamic Republic of ABC (insert your pick here).
Politics. Did we invent Communism, Nazism, Facism, Fundamentalism? Oh thats right, those were parties and ideas from other countries. If you do not agree with them, they shoot you or at least put in jail.
Point is there is plenty of people around the world who think they are God's gift to good earth, not just in America.
