What bothers me the most about In-N-Out is it's native customer base. Most of the people that love it the most are California liberals that denounce Christian conservatives but their favorite state chain is run by Christian conservatives. Real funny to me.

Most of the people that love it are Californians period, clearly because the majority of restaurants are in CA. "Liberals" don't love INO anymore than "conservatives", I don't know how you could even come to such an absurd conclusion. They are just as popular in the more conservative parts of CA as other parts. That was just a ridiculous statement that is not even close to reality.

This is another issue. Why are all Californians painted with a broad brush as being liberals? Didn't Californians vote for Prop 8? I highly doubt the people from Orange County, northern San Diego County, or the Central Valley who frequent In-N-Out would appreciate being called liberals. Some of my friends in Orange County, in particular, are some of the most conservative people I know.
California is too large to create generalizations of the people who live there.
Youve OBVIOUSLY never been to In-N-Out if you think 5 Guys or Fuddruckers (seriously!?) is better.....nice try though....
And yes, I think going to a 5guys for a burger fries n'drink for $10-11 for lunch is a bit much for a burger. Thats right, if Im going to be in that strata, I'll go to a regular sit down joint.
And whats this "superwalmart" you speak of, Im not familiar?!
I've been to In N out, plenty of times. The only time I liked it was when I put magic mushrooms on the burger and tripped later in the day. The menu is basic.
Sorry, In N Out is just another bland thing that California people hype out on end.

What is it with this sour grapes attitude by Chicagoans with regards to California? The Jan Brady of American cities has issues, methinks.
The most decorated chef in America can't stop gushing about this "s**t chain" (as one poster pretending to be Californian so eloquently put it). When the millions of joints you wish were better than In-N-Out get this kind of praise from this caliber of chef, maybe your boasts will inspire a debate, instead of laughter.

I must have missed the part where he 'couldn't stop gushing'...as far as I could tell, the most he said was, "give me a cheeseburger and fries and I'm a happy guy". Hell he's just saying he likes it, he's not even giving it praise, let alone gushing about it.
I concur that it is a big point in In-N-Out's favor that a chef of this caliber likes to eat their food sometimes, but you are way overselling it
