I have friends from Syracuse and Watertown (upstate New York for those of you unfamiliar with the relevant geography) who have told me about Oneida Lake. I will have to make it up there next time i'm in CNY.

I'll be visiting Emerald Isle and Atlantic beach this weekend. Not really a vacation since I'm only 45 minutes away but it's a fun day trip.

We do it sometimes, just to go away from home. But personally, I would rather see something completely different like the mountains.

I agree with ABQConvict --- where is Rhode Island? Rhode Island is pretty popular for folks from Connecticut and also to folks from Massachusetts and New York who want to try out something different from their own beaches.

The economy is too bad right now for something like a vacation. Get back to me in two years.
