"According to a study by the makers of COMBOS." It's not enough that they manufacture junk food laden with sodium and saturated fat. Now they're social scientists too?
Honestly, who in their right mind could possibly take that seriously?

who cares? No one said you have to follow the list like its the bible. Its just an interesting list.
I think I mentioned the 2009 version of the study on some thread like "toughest cities" or something. I don't put much stock in it, but it is funny.
Does Portland being fiftieth make it the womanliest? Or is "least manly" a different metric than "most womanly"? And if so should Dove chocolate sponsor a study of feminine or womanly cities?
What makes a man manly? A shaved head? Buzz cut? How many Bud Lights he can down in one hour? Owning a Harley? A beard? Shirts with sleeves ripped off? Knowledge about the NFL? A regular viewer of Smack Down? Owning a 350hp car? Owning many guns and hunting? Driving a pick-up?
The ranking process changed a little this year, using manly criteria like the number of home improvement stores, steak houses, pickup trucks and motorcycles per capita.
Last year's rankings were based on criteria such as number of professional sports teams, popularity of power tools, and frequency of monster truck rallies.
Ah hell, I guess we're all just a bunch of liberal Subaru-driving ******* in Portland... I suppose I should stop climbing mountains and snowboarding and fishing and just start going to monster truck rallies. Should have never sold my Ford F-150 back in the day--I could have bumped up the curve a little bit...
Also, it's funny they have Oakland at #47...Go tell an Oakland Raiders fan or some dude in East Oakland that Oaktown is one of the "least manly" cities in the country...see what happens.
