Rich cultural events and activities
Great natural surroundings for outdoor activities ie beach, trails, rivers

The most important option(s) of all aren't even in the poll:

1) Climate

2) Appearance

Yes, those are what matter the most to me, and I believe a good portion of the populace as well. If I get up every morning and have to look at something I don't like -- in terms of scenery or weather -- that can have a really negative impact on my quality of life. There are places in this country that I simply could not live... period. I would never, in a thousand years; for any amount of money, accept living there (the desert part of the southwest, the south-central U.S. and the midwest all come to mind).

Friends, work, culture -- they're all secondary to 1) and 2). They are the first and last considerations I make during any and all moves.
