Where is the most shade in Florida to go for a long walk
& to sit down to lessen the summer heat? Anything like
that right on the coast? Maybe someplace else in the
South would have either or both?
Thanks.

I found areas outside of Panama City to be fairly wooded. It's close to the coast. Weird sight seeing tall pine trees in beach sand but they have it.

Pretty much any city in the middle South. The people down here don't believe in cutting down trees, so most residential areas are under a canopy, so to speak. As a case in point, I took a visitor to a vantage point overlooking my city a few years ago. Aside from downtown, it looked like nothing but forest, with the occasional house being visible.

In fact, after living here a while, I was shocked to go up north and see large residential developments without any shade whatsoever.

Isn't Atlanta's nickname "the city in the forest" or something like that?
