For St. Louis, it has to be Forest Park, home of the world-famous St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, the St. Louis Science Center, the History Museum, the Jewel Box conservatory, the Muny Opera, Steinberg Skating Rink, and much more.

It can be whatever you want it to be. For example, I would say that Fenway Park is the heart and soul of Boston. This question is really a matter of opinion so there is no right or wrong answer.
