I am going to agree with JaySwelly and say the Midwest also. At least for the Great Plains who seem to have extreme heat in the summer and extreme cold in the winter. However, the Great Lake States do not seem to be as bad.
Btw, 12 people voted for California for worse weather in the country. Why? Makes no sense.

Maybe they're fans of winter (and I don't want anyone to tell me how it snows in the mountains when only like 5% of the states population lives there if that)
Oh I know the Northeast gets below 40F. But the Midwest is more extreme in its colder weather since it's farther away from an ocean.
The interior Northeast (Upstate NY/New England) has the same exact temperature extremes. Upstate NY also has the "luxury" of being directly east of the Great Lakes, which pick up a ton of moisture and drop it.
I think the South has the best and worst weather! For about 1-2 weeks in March and Oct. We have the best weather ever. Especially in the fall when the leaves have changed I live near Smoke Mountains and they are awesome this time of year. I don't think we have much of fall or spring. We go from horrible high Temps mid to upper 90's with 90%+ humidity. I know some say southwest has 100+ weather. I am told by people from there they prefer their heat over ours. They call it dry heat. We have that nice humid start sweating automatically once you step out of the AC. Then all of a sudden it's below freezing with snow and ice. This post is also dependant on the person. Everyone likes different weathers. I love low to mid 60's that is perfect shorts weather. Then I would prefer the colder weather not below 0 cold but cooler cause my big saying is if it's cold I can add layers to were when it's above 90 and 90% I can only take so much clothing off and go in public. That's my favorite and most hated weather conditions.
