So, I know this thread has most likely been done before, but I've decided to redo it. What is your favorite State welcome sign? (Design, Size, Meaning, Quality, etc. etc.) And what is your least favorite? Does the sign make you want to speed up to go into the state and stay there forever because it is extremely awesome? Or does it make you disapointed because its nothing more than a green or blue sign with white words? (Or do you not even notice it at all?..)
If you want, include the "Thanks for Visiting" signs also.
I like signs that make the state seem proud of itself, are somewhat extravagant, and that look like they took effort to design and make, and that represent the state well.
Iowa, it's the only state whose welcome signs are saying "People of Iowa Welcome you". The rest 47 states I've been to use meaningless and bland abstract slogans like "Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, ..... Welcomes You". Abstractions don't welcome anyone, they can't.

Michigan's newer signs say "Welcome to Pure Michigan". Good for an advertisement, not so much for a welcome board. I actually like the older one a lot more.
