I am from Oklahoma.. I want out! A state with a good education system, 3 seasons (our summers can go on 6+months!) Nice people, livable wages, affordable housing, low crime. Tell me best Cities and states with these attributes. So far Wisconsin is looking good, but unsure.

I'm from Michigan. Wisconsin is very cold, like Michigan, and we had this running joke it's winter every day of the year but that one day in July.

Maybe try North Carolina, or Virginia/Maryland.

Virginia is the best state in the Union, so I have no choice but to support crystalballmagic's suggestion of Virginia.

If you want a more comfortable summer, get out of the humidity. Go west.

3 seasons?

Anyway take a look at the Twin Cities. Tops the lists for livability, education, recreation etc. But it's very cold for about 6 weeks, and cold for another 6 weeks. We don't mind and actually love it (tons of outdoor winter activities) but some people are too soft and can't handle it.

Summer's are absolutely perfect. Come up in late August and/or fall (mid October) to visit.

I do not want to live somewhere known for being hot . a spring that lasts longer than a couple weeks, summer that actually lasts from June till August, a winter, well winter doesn't bother me too much, but definitely want a state that knows how to clear their roads when winter weather hits. Oklahoma completely shuts down when snow, and ice hit.

sorry all 4 seasons (brain wasn't working well yesterday) In Oklahoma Summers can last from April to October (give or take) Today we are pushing 85 (not close to May yet) Spring and Winter is pretty much non-existent.

As far as states I thought about? Colorado was on the list, but husband hates Colorado. West coast unsure due to high cost of living (hearsay) Husband would like Michigan, but once again heard not so many good things about the economy in the state.
