If passing through and airports don't count.......

1. Nashville - This is at the top of my bucket list. Nearly 80% of the music I listen to is country and I definitely want to visit the Country Music Fall of Fame, the Grand Ole Opry, and Music Row.

2. Atlanta - Well I WILL be going this fall. Going to visit Stone Mountain (glad the historic monuments are still there) for sure, and probably Centennial Park, and perhaps Coca Cola. Also want to go to the original Waffle House and the original Chick fil A. Not so sure about CNN headquarters.....

3. Chicago - Sears Tower and the lake shore.

4. San Antonio - just for the Alamo

5. Tampa - more the surrounding area than the city itself including St. Petes, Clearwater and the springs where they have the mermaids

Cities that would be cool to visit but no real burning desire

Austin
Boston
Anchorage
Reno
Phoenix
Tucson
Santa Fe

Cities I've never visited but don't really have an interest:

Cleveland
Detroit
Minneapolis-St. Paul
Milwaukee
Buffalo
Rochester
Toledo
Pittsburgh
Tulsa
Oklahoma City
Portland
Omaha
Wichita
San Jose
El Paso

The cities I really want to visit again

Charleston SC
Savannah
Las Vegas
San Diego
Key West
Columbus (pleasantly surprised by this place)
Denver
Colorado Springs
Fort Worth
New York - only for the new Freedom Tower and to visit Trump Tower

Cities I enjoyed but don't really need to visit again

Washington DC
Atlantic City
Miami
Fort Lauderdale
Seattle
San Francisco
St. Louis
Kansas City
Indianapolis
Salt Lake City
Albuquerque
Amarillo
Dallas
Charlotte
Memphis
Richmond

Cities I've been to and never want to see again

Baltimore
Philadelphia
Los Angeles

My favorite large city is probably New Orleans (since some people don't consider Charleston and Savannah to be major cities) but I'm only an hour and a half away from there and can visit anytime. I'm in New Orleans at least 4 or 5 times a year.

Many of the places I most want to visit are not in major cities.......Smoky Mountains, Ozarks, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Crater Lake, Denali

Major Cities (metros over 1 million residents) total 55:
Metros over 2 million total 35, smallest being San Jose CA
Metros over 3 million total 19, smallest being Denver (Top 20 largest includes St. Louis.

I've been to all but 4 in top 35 - Boston, Tampa Milwaukee and Cleveland. Of those, really only Boston I still want to visit. Having been to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Jacksonville and Florida Panhandle, much of that state looks and feels the same. So Tampa just doesn't seem like its worth the time and money. Milwaukee would be next given its Great Lakes location and history and maybe a quick drive to Packer land.

I don't count Airport layovers as visits.

Places I don't care to visit again - Salt Lake City, Birmingham where I once lived. Jacksonville, and Denver really kind of underwhelmed for all love it gets. Look west, majestic mountains, look east of I -25 tree-less prairie for as far as the eye can see, i.e. the part Coloradans care not you remember. I like Fort Collins more.

Other cities smaller that I visited I would like to see again - Savannah, GA, Chattanooga, TN, Santa Fe, Carmel By the Sea/Monterrey Bay.
Smaller towns yet to see but would like - Asheville, NC. Charleston, SC, Big Bear, CA and Mackinaw Island, MI come to mind.

I haven't spent any significant time in three cities that I am curious about - NYC, Portland OR, and Chicago IL. Not saying I want to MOVE to any of them but I would like to visit each one for several days.

Louisville (drive thru)
Baltimore
Boston
Seattle
Washington D.C. (No thank you!)
Nashville
Denver
Portland
Las Vegas
Oklahoma City
Albuquerque (lots)
Tucson
Fresno (very briefly)
Sacramento
Kansas City (very underrated)
Atlanta
Colorado Springs
Omaha
Miami
Cleveland
Tulsa (drive thru)
Oakland
Minneapolis
Wichita (drive thru)
New Orleans
Honolulu
Tampa
St. Louis (lived there)
Pittsburgh
Cincinnati

Orlando
Winston-Salem (drive thru)
Lubbock (drive thru)
Reno
Birmingham
Rochester

Haven't been to: (except plane layover)
Houston
San Antonio
Milwaukee
Madison

I would go back to all the California cities again, as well as anything west of the Rockies. Kansas City is on my horizon again in November when I will attend the Giants-Chiefs game. Going to San Diego in a few weeks again, try to get there at least once every two years. Other than Boston, no desire to go to the northeast corridor, as I have been in all those cities many times, and aren't very appealing to me. The other cities I have only been to a few times, with the exception of Dallas, Phoenix, Tucson, New Orleans, Tampa, Miami, and Denver, and would be very open to seeing them more thoroughly.
