Got some lake effect snow flurries here on the north side of Chicago. Still been well over 10 months since the city has seen an inch of snow. Been over 10 months since we've even had a high temp below freezing, and none in sight over the next few days! Crazy warm weather. Wondering if we might pull off another year of no winter after last year.
I had a white Christmas from the three feet+ of snow that fell over the last few days in the Sierra Nevada at my dad's house in Plumas County, California(about an hour north of Lake Tahoe). Great skiing on Christmas Eve as well.
We had snowfall down the Feather River Canyon all the way to about 1500 feet on the drive to the Sacramento Airport yesterday as well.
We technically had a "white Christmas" with 1-2 inches of snow on the ground, but certainly not up to my standards. I need more!
