Oh wow, I just read all the data for Chapel Hill, a wikipedia article, and a few other articles and it sounds amazing. Thank you for the suggestion Fort Lauderdale! I am really going to look into the area more. If anyone has any more suggestions, please send them my way

Yeah, the legendary Ben Folds Five formed in Chapel Hill!

I can give limited recommendation for my own area actually. If you can find a job it can be a fun, dynamic location for a young professional, but you are sacrificing some of your criteria. We actually attracted a really cool Jam Band/Indie festival here called Langerado. If you like cultural diversity (And I mean real diversity, not a clash of different cultures, but a melting pot), and we do have a left-leaning atmosphere, although anyone finds their place here. I wouldn't really consider it though unless you find good pay in your field.
