Detroit, Denver, Baltimore, Portland and Pittsburgh more important that Philadelphia? Seattle more important than Boston?
Philadelphia, I don't like the city at all, except for the very small portion of the city center. The city itself has become way too ghetto, I mean when you go along I-95 and see the picture it is just way too unattractive, and also for many people, including the fact of being named the dirtiest city by many polls. Philly needs a serious clean-up.
I know Philly has history, but the other aspects kind of outweigh this. I think Philly has the potential to hass less crime and be more sight-pleasing.
I don't think Detroit's rank need to be explained in we see how low it has descended since the fall of automotive innovations and of course, the huge crime.
Thank goodness Wilmington DE was not here because that would be a huge 0.

The thread wasn't asking about your opinion of the cities. It was asking about the importance of them. San Antonio, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Milwaukee, more important than Philly??

Well, that is my opinion, sorry if you don't agree with them. If you want serious scores go to Forbes or National Geographic. Otherwise I stay with my scores because for me safety is VERY important and safety has a lot to do with the economy, one of the criteria of the OP.
