The problem with this thread was always that no one specified whether we are talking about inner cities, where the original premise wasn't always true, or the entire metro including suburbs in which case the original premise is true more often than not.
lol, again...the exact opposite here. Due south in the inner city is a pretty rough area. Further out it is much, much nicer.
Yes and LOWER Manhattan is infinitely more desirable than Harlem or the Bronx!!!!!!!
I have noticed more of an east-west thing where the western suburbs are nicer. I've noticed this in Baltimore, Washington DC, St. Louis, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Fort Worth's southside is kind of split right now.
Near Southside is experiencing more gentrification than any other part of the city and becoming a more desirable place for younger people.
The Far Southside, on the other hand...
