Not sure why so many lists on the list section are so old.
2006? Really? But anyways, anyone know a list of the largest, most crime free cities?

Say, top 50 in population.
Sorted by crime rates.

or some recent stats (pref. a list) to back up a claim?

Thanks a lot.

All right! Let's see what we got here. Hum. Well, I'll have to juggle a few numbers (pick out the 50 biggest and write a little chart) but this gets me much closer to where I want to be. Thanks. P.S. I wonder when all the great stats from the '10 census will make their way into a one easily digestible book?

Chicago's violent crime numbers show up as N/A at the FBI because the Chicago police department defines rape differently than basically the rest of the US. I think it has to do with them recognizing the fact that a man can rape another man and a woman can rape another woman...so the FBI can't report it since it doesn't line up with pretty much anybody else.

You might be sorry you noticed that because the one I left off was Nashville. Its violent crime rate is way up there at 650.8. I fix it in a reply to my initial post.
