I would like to go to a rather big city, where I can live with about 25,000 dollars, which has a reasonably good public transport, a nice downtown area, rather liberal people and politics and a lively nightlife. Could you tell me which of the following cities/metro areas would be best for me? Albuquerque, NM; Denver, CO; Minneapolis-Saint Paul, MN; Los Angeles, CA; Philadelphia, PA; Omaha, NE; Kansas City, MO; Portland, OR; Salt Lake City, UT, The DC Area or Austin, TX. Good weather would be great of course, but it's no main criteria. Thank you for your help.
Based on your criteria, I would recommend Philadelphia for the east coast, Portland for the west coast, and Minneapolis for the central part of the country.
