The quality of life in NH is unmatched compared to just about anywhere in the lower 48. However, it is easier to live in NH if you are independently wealthy, a creative self-employed type, have a good amount of specialized skills, or know quite a few people. After this stint ends I am hoping to go back to NH and get a better position at YBP if you have heard of them. They have a big office in Contoocook. I would be the type of person who would prefer to live in a modular prefab house in NH instead of a mcmansion in the South

I prefer the Upper Midwest if I had a choice. I find the culture a bit more fitting to my personality traits.

Same here. I'd love to live in Northern Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, or North Dakota.
