I'd have to say MD, like a few above posters. It's a pretty progressive state and you'll be w/in your 4hours of beach/mountains/etc. Plus, Philly, NYC, and DC aren't too far away if you ever wanted to take daytrips. Even though Baltimore seems more like a big town, as opposed to a small city, there are lots of things to do, especially during the warmer months.
I realize this is an old thread, but I'd say just hang tight where you are for now. Within two or three years, you'll be able to eliminate recognition of same-sex marriage from your criteria for picking a state to live in. The US Supreme Court is likely to rule in favor of marriage equality nationwide within that time frame.
