I would. It would be so fun to move around and really get involved in several cities.
Of course, eventually as I got older Id want to settle..but even then...who knows.
Not really. That's too much of a hassle to keep picking up your stuff and moving all the time. You also wouldn't really have an entirely close group of friends. Maybe that's not important to some people, but I'd never move every 6 months.

My thoughts exactly. I love to visit places, but I have one place that I call "home."
Yes definitely... I think a better plan would be to have a home base then travel 6 months of the year though, say have a home base in NYC for the spring, travel to Europe in the summer, back in NYC for the fall, Miami in the winter. This takes care of your travel fantasies as well as keeping a decent friend and professional network and not always being the "new person" in the city. Plus at some point you will get old and not be able to travel as frequently, you'll have equity in a place and can either stay there or sell it and move somewhere else. You can do a 3 month furnished sublease on your place while your gone, to pay down a mortgage or your own lease while you rent somewhere (possibly cheaper) elsewhere and actually make money. I do know people who constantly travel though and move even more frequently than that. Also a year will also be easier to pull off than 6 months due to a more standard 1 yr lease. 3 months is also the max Shenzhen time frame to enter the EU as well as other countries. UK is 6 for U.S. citizens... so works out nicely. Also it seems places like NYC are cutting down on 1 month style subleases b/c of airbnb stuff, so you might do 3... Although I've never really felt like I had a homebase anywhere I've lived, I feel better when I'm actually traveling. To pick up stuff and moving all the time, that can be minimized by just not having that much stuff, or renting furnished places, etc...
Anywho, yes I have thought about this a lot.
