I was thinking about perhaps the panhandle of Florida, Palm Beach City. I've never been there before though. Does anyone have any information regarding this area?
Absolutely, Panama City Beach, FL !!!!!!! In the Panhandle. Its definately
geared toward the young, hotel jobs are a dime a dozen. And its an
inexpensive place to live, depending on how you want to live
Good Luck and have fun.
Go to the beach cities of LA and you can enjoy being a beach bum while also working at a decent job. Hotel jobs and fast food get old, man. Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach are a lot of fun, and you can find roommate situations pretty easily through the local papers.
If you really want to try out the beach bum lifestyle, here's a thought. They have a really cool brewery in Dewey Beach, DE. I think it's called Dogfish. Anyway, the people who worked there seemed pretty friendly and also into the whole beach scene. Maybe you could google them, send an e-mail and ask for some advice.
Lodging's probably reasonable in the winter, too. The who Delmarva beach area pretty much shuts down after October.
Well I have November thru March covered, a lot of hotels in Florida will rent rooms with double queen beds with full kitchens for $750-1,200 a month as winter specials. But after March you have to be out of the room, because the deal is off.
So I don't know what to do from then on. Thats my dilemma.
I need to travel around and find some summer specials, I guess. If any state would have summer specials. I know South Florida peak season is in the winter and the off season is the summer. So maybe the panhandle is the opposite, with an off season in the winter and a peak season in the summer. So perhaps I could travel south to Miami or the Keys in the summer.
Aw, buddy. Look around. 750-1200 a month isn't that great a deal. You can probably find a real apartment for less than that.
