It seems logical that this would happen in the film capital of the world.
Well appearance-wise, Los Angeles was exactly what I expected... but outside of Bait Car on TruTV, you (or at least I) never see an accurate depiction of LA's Mexican population on television. It's as if they're all camera shy!

Chicago- Seemed huge coming from the east coast, very dense, and full of character, beautiful lakefront

Toronto- modern, lots of Asians and gays, clean, expensive, tons of immigrants

I don't get it. Why do people come here expecting it to be mountainous in the city??

Denver is in an isolated part of the country and I don't think people are aware that the prairies are a mile high above sea level. Also 99% of the time when the word Colorado is mentioned mountains immediately come to mind (though that might have changed some since they legalized marijuana ).

Los Angeles: "Wow, 2nd largest city in the USA!"
Orlando: Very impressed by the greenery and tall pine trees
San Antonio: Nothin special, but not bad.
Austin: "What's all the hype about?" Average city.
NYC: This city huge...and a bit dirty, but impressive.
Kansas City: "Wish I could get out of this airport and check the city out."
Colorado Springs: A much prettier, and smaller version of Denver.
Las Vegas: "Why is it so hot??"
Chicago: Nice city. Not a big ghetto..

Only the one's I can remember, but pretty much all of them.

Oh, I see. I just don't know why people can't do a little research before coming here and being disappointed. If you can get past thinking there's going to be mountains in the middle of the city, then it's not that horrible.

Not a clever quip, seeing as how you can't see any prairie. It's "Mahattan", by the way.

Yes, a common sentiment shared by those who never leave the freeway/airport.

Don't bother lying and saying you did. You know you didn't.
