I choose S. Florida too! Great weather, great beaches, far less traffic than S. California, no earthquakes, access to more cities, lower cost of living, cleaner air, and better for asthmatics (which I am).

Southern California. South Florida was nice at one time, but not anymore.

I would still choose SoCal even if there were magnitude 6.0 earthquakes twice a week underneath my house or condo.

Southern Florida. Why? Because I represent the East Coast!

I'm not sure who in their right mind (besides S. Fla residents) would choose to live in south florida over southern california. In SoCal you have so many choices, so much culture, the ideal climate, and arguably the best coastline in the world. In South florida you have retirees and humidity. I guess Miami is ok, but it is certainly no San Diego or Santa Monica.

SoCal, definitely. But if I was a boater or a fisherman, I would have to go with South Florida.

Heh, "best winter weather in the USA" is the greatest euphemism for Florida's climate that I've heard yet.

I hear that. I'm not sure why people make such a fuss of florida's climate. Its hot, humid, rainy. Southern California's winter and summer weather are far far superior.
