I listed 13, but I lived in four of them twice, (Wi, AL, LA, MO). having left with no ties nor intentions to return, but winding up back there, in a different city, later on. Does that count as 17 then? Actually, Louisiana three times, for 18 moves from one state to another without any prior reason to return to that state.
I could count it as 20, if I included states where I lived so close to the state line that I went there so frequently that I had a "local" familiarity with it.
Rural North Central Mississippi
Rural Missouri Bootheel
Orlando/Central Florida
Little Rock/Central Arkansas (twice)
Knoxville, Tennessee
Lubbock, Texas (currently)
I am planning a move to other city in Texas, such as Austin or Beaumont (1 hour east from Houston) for Ph.D.
Although I was born and raised in the South, I am truly Midwestern at heart. Having visited there many times to see distant family members, I just love the Midwest. After Ph.D., I will move to Twin Cities in Minnesota or Indianapolis, Indiana.
Really? Welcome! I hope you enjoy it! Many things to love, I promise
