Whenever people talk about how great the Midwest is, they always seem to mention Minneapolis and Chicago and sometimes a few other places that are near the Lakes. Poor lil' Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma are neglected.
So of those three states, where would you live? What city(ies)? Why?
I like Oklahoma, the eastern part of that state is very pretty in some areas. Many do not realize there are some mountains in eastern OK. Oklahoma city is very nice too. All three states have a clean enviroment and nice people, but I like the scenery of Oklahoma better.

First of all, no way would I live in a CITY at all, anywhere. But of the choices given I would choose Oklahoma. Mainly because of it's Native American influence (and casinos), and secondly because it has a longer growing season and more temperate climate.
Considering storms, bad weather, cost of living, social services & values, political views and educational systems, I’d have to say Neb, Kan, and then Ok in that order would be my choice.
Pretty much because Nebraska is the coldest, but I haven't been further east (within Nebraska) than Kearney. I'd like to visit Lincoln and Omaha someday.
I've seen all of I-70 through Kansas, and the western half through Dodge City and Liberal, but KS overall is just "okay" IMO. However, I do like it more the more east you go, and I really liked the Kansas City area.
I've only seen the OK panhandle, but I'll admit that I don't have much of a desire to see the rest of it. Nothing is screaming "go visit Oklahoma" out to me.
I just moved to the Kansas City area back in October and so far I absolutely love it! Everyone is so friendly! And the conveniences are great too!
I've never been to Nebraska and only drove through Oklahoma. I remember we tried to have a roadside picnic when we were driving through Oklahoma and the winds were just sweeping down the plains far too fast to keep the paper products on the picnic table! lololol Yep...I started singing the song!!!
Depends upon which part of each state. Western Kansas would be at the top of my list here and then probably central and western Nebraska next. I would not live in OK but only because the climate is too hot and humid for my taste and they get a lot more tornadoes than either KS or NE. Even the heat and humidity of eastern KS is a little too much for me.
And they aren't mentioned w/the midwest b/c they aren't part of the "midwest region", they are part of the "central plain states"
