Cool, a family reunion in New Orleans would be fun. Just watch uncle Tex, make sure he doesn't get too drunk as he gets very belligerent.

As actual neighbors from an Arizona point of view.
California- Next door neighbor on the left. Drives a nice car and has the nicest house on the block. On the surface he's the coolest guy ever. However it always seems like he's talking down to you a little bit. You get the feeling sometimes that he only hangs around because he thinks your wife is hot.
New Mexico- Next door neighbor on the right. On the surface you think would hit it off. Something just doesn't click between you though. When you see him there's usually just an awkward hello and that's it.
Utah- Neighbor across the street. Overly nice family of 8 that seems just too nice. Usually only see them when they are piling into their SUV on the way to soccer practice. After seeing them pull out of the driveway you are kind of glad you're not them.
Nevada- Neighbor across the street to the left. Guy you probably have the most in common with on the block and you enjoy hanging out. The only thing is he always seems to borrow things and never returns them. You sometimes avoid him because you know he's looking for a loan or wants something from you.
Colorado- The guy on the very corner of the block you only see when you're mowing your lawn and generally just wave.
Sonora- Neighbor across the alley. They have a big fence so you can't always see over but it always sounds like a party's going on.
Baja Cal. Norte- Very corner of back alley. Kind of like Sonora but they have some crazy pool parties.

We have those little horse tie-up things in the Quarter, so we can probably protect him from riding drunk. (half-hearted smiley)

Since several people have done California, I'll just do Oregon.
Washington: Older brother, has a couple of degrees and a high profile job at a tech company. Looks down upon thinking his life is better, when in reality you just don't care. For the most part you're similar in personality.
Idaho: Distant redneck cousin from the hills that you don't see often. You enjoy visiting his house up in the hills, just so long you both don't discuss politics.
California: Your uncle who seems to have it all and enjoy his life very much. However, he loves to come and visit when he needs time away from his hectic life.
Nevada: A forgotten uncle of yours, however he seems to be good friends with your Uncle Cal. You'd rather not speak to him, as both of you have lost lots of money to gambling.

Massachusetts;
New York- Husband that Divorced MA
Connecticut- Child that is spoiled as each parent tries to buy its love
Rhode Island- the baby sister of the family that seems to try to be like its mom
New Hampshire- the rebellious daughter who wants nothing to do with anyone and thinks Mom is "like totally ruining their life"
Vermont is the middle brother that goes out with his friends and smokes a lot of pot.

Hey we (Oklahoma) would come see you but that rich egotistical uncle is always getting in the way.

New York
Connecticut: The rich, cultured, well-mannered uncle everybody thinks is damn near perfect because he usually manages to keep the skeletons in the family clost safely locked away. Usually. But not always.
New Jersey: The ditzy, bipolar older sister who wants to be Auntie Mame, but doesn't quite have the style, the instincts, (or sometimes the cash) to pull it off.
Pennsylvania: The whiny, resentful youngest child who thinks everyone else in the family gets more attention than he does, even though he knows deep down that they've done more to deserve it.

Michigan
Ohio - your older brother by about 2 years. Very similar to you, but you fought when you were younger and cannot bring yourself to stop fighting.
Indiana - your much younger brother who is calmer and more conservative. You generally get along, but don't really see each other too often.
Wisconsin - this is like your cousin who shares some hobbies like geocaching or Medieval history that nobody else in your family does. But outside of that, you don't really interact.
Illinois - not really a family member, but she's your mother's best friend, so she seems like an aunt to you. She's quite wealthy and well-known in the community, and sometimes spoils you. You see her more than Indiana and Wisconsin.
Ontario - your cousin who is part of the family that nobody ever sees outside of sporadic appearances at weddings and funerals. Generally a decent guy to chill with though.
Minnesota - this is Wisconsin's cousin on the other side of his family who tags along with you guys when participating in your hobbies.
