If a panel of professional landscapers were to visit every metro area in America to select award winners, what place would win the award for the best landscaped? I am not talking about the city with the most trees (that question has been already discussed). But what I am looking for is the place where the professional landscape around homes, common areas, shopping centers, medians, etc. are full of the most beautiful planted trees, flowers, bushes and greenery.

Seattle. They have gorgeous vegetation and greenery to work with. Even some of the freeways have impressive landscaping. The climate there is damp and temperate for a long part of the year so a lot of plants thrive and they seldom have hot or cold extremes.

well if we go by the metro area overall I don't think South florida does so well but if we go buy individual cities then I would have to say Miami Beach,Coral Gables, and Pinecrest are all way up there.
The California highways are nicely landscaped, with a lot of oleander bushes, for instance. It's nice to drive down a highway where the area is dry and barren but see flowers along the highway. California does a nice job of landscaping the highways.
