Americans who polled on various questions such as best food, rudest people, best scenery, weirdest accent, and so on. They couldn't vote for their own state. Kinda interesting.

Least favorite state looks like a landslide.

This is one of the silliest polls I have ever seen. New York and California seem to be the worst and the best in the same categories. That's a bit odd.

I don't think it's meant to be serious or scientific, it's just for fun and I had fun reading it.

That is how I took it and why I posted it. All in fun.

Texas is the state people love to hate.

Clearly people have never been to NJ minus the Turnpike at the airport. Worst scenery. Sad, really.

Also odd that CA is one of the most beautiful, but also overrated. New York has the best and worst sports fans? Lot of contradictions here.

If you go through the various maps, you can see that the largest states, California, Texas & New York - and often joined by Florida, get the most responses.

That is why when a smaller or mid sized state comes in first, like Massachusetts for "smartest state', it is really noticeable.

Blame it on people's stereotypes.

As for New York fans, I guess it is because of the Yankees.

Why the title jab at Philly on sports fans, I think they are among the best...
