Hello,
What does everyone think is the most beautiful campus in the nation? I would also be curious to know your favorite campus in your own state? Taking into account architecture, scenery, landscape, etc. If you can post pics that would be great! Thanks
For Tennessee, I would nominate Sewanee (University of the South). Beautiful stone gothic architecture on a 13,000 acre campus atop the Cumberland Plateau.
In Louisiana it's Tulane/Loyola University sitting in picturesque Uptown New Orleans or Louisiana State University in Old South Baton Rouge sitting on University lake. Most of the buildings in both campus predate WWII, some even WWI.
In AR it is the U of A, with some of the smaller schools situated in green, natural settings as well. U or A is what many think of when they picture college campuses.
From what I have seen throughout the country and we have seen a lot, I would have to say Stanford is right up there with any campus. The University of Col used to be, but they added on buildings that took away from the old, natural campus look. Someone said, Pepperdine, though it does say "university" to me, it has to be at the top of the list as well, plus no campus has the view they do.
In Georgia, I would have to say Emory University in the Druid Hills neighborhood of Atlanta. I love the signature look of its buildings, white marble with red tiled rooves.
