Did you just call Atlanta's nightlife not pretentious?
Man, I thought it was. That's not a knock on the city, I actually really like Atlanta but I do find it pretentious and I also come from a pretentious city so it felt like home.
If you want that scene you can find it, but if you want a more laid back scene, you can get that too--especially in the neighborhood spots.

I have no doubt that's true. Friends I have from Atlanta have tell me the nightlife there mirrors the nightlife here (in Dallas) only substitute hip hop for EDM is the most prominent feature.
