Hi,

We are a young couple from Montreal, Canada and we were wondering if we have to get married to ease the process? Will we get the visas faster if we are married?

Thank you

Probably. If you're married and one of you gets a job, then I think the other can apply for a spousal visa, or something similar. Same with if one of you goes to school here.

I'm really not sure.

Here's the consulate website in Montreal:

Immigrant Visas | Consulate General of the United States Montreal, Canada

This service says it's free to get an answer from a lawyer:

That's usually if you marry a citizen of the country you plan to go to. they can often come with, but won't be guaranteed a work visa also.
