Definitely Chicago in terms of a blend. Philadelphia is like oil and water in terms of a mix.

When I think of cities where the neighborhoods are strongly delineated by status, Boston and Philadelphia first come to mind.

Honestly, if we're talking about the best integration between white- and blue-collar folks, then I don't think you'll find any city is good in that regard. In fact, economic stratification has only gotten worse in recent years.

I'll second Portland Oregon.

What about Boston or Providence? I've always pictured them that way, maybe it's just the way Boston is portrayed in movies though.

If you lived in some town with 50 people in the south, then maybe, but as far as here in North Georgia goes, yeah, thats true, only in the exburbs though. Lol
