I'd agree with that. The borders or state lines of the eastern states from Va up are so small they overlap a great deal. Or the most urban parts of states cut thru small portions of a state via interstates i.e. NYC that it's going to be mixed.
Oh! The Polish in Highland Town are not going to like you forgot to mention them.
Even though I've never been there (except DC), I feel like I'd like Maryland. The only thing I would NOT like about it is any kind of Southern Culture (nothing wrong with it in and of itself, but it's not my way, personally).

I have spent a lot of time in the islands and could not agree more. Louisiana is pretty awesome too. I have been blessed to have locals show me around both places seeing things most visitors cannot access.

Alaska-Seems like a very different place IMO.
Louisiana- Northern half of the state is meh but everything within the parishes that I-ten crosses through and south might as well be a foreign country.
