Hey guys the time has come for me to move to a new place. I am a UK resident but will be looking to move to America. I was wondering if anyone could give some recommendations that fit some of them. I've tried google but I keep getting information like which city has the most college educated people in them.
Here is what I'm looking for:
It snows in winter
It's hot in summer. Just hot enough for shorts and t-shirts. It doesn't need to be boiling.
Close to the sea.
I can drive my car with relative ease and park it most places.
Very accepting people as I have gay family members and family members in mixed race relationships. I want them to feel very comfortable when coming to visit me.
Can anyone give me any suggestions of places that will fit those criteria. I can then do some research into them.

Anywhere from Massachusetts down to northern Virginia fit those criteria to a T. You have a lot of places to choose from.
Check out the Great Lakes region too and maybe some cities in North Carolina or Georgia.
Do you know if you can go surfing at the beaches near Boston?
Surfing isn't a must have. It would be a nice bonus though.
There is definitely surfing in Massachusetts near Boston. I've been to Cape Cod, but not for surfing. I would imagine that the water would be rather cold even in the summer for that.
But there's a lot of surfing and beach culture as you head south along the east coast to warmer waters - in New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, etc.
Check out Upstate NY, MA, VA, MD, NJ, CT and RI. A wild card with Upstate NY is that you can surf in the Great Lakes, but during the winter due to the waves during or around that time of year. Ithaca and the bigger metros up here would work. In MA, you may like Hyannis/Cape Cod area or the Boston area.
