Would you ever move outside the U.S.?

Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, Saigon in a heartbeat. You only have one life. I've traveled to three of those four places and loved them all. It's got nothing to do with loving/not loving the US or thinking that it'll be collapsing. It'll collapse within the next thousand years, but the chances of collapse any time soon are very small. When I lived overseas in Europe in the late 70s and mid-90s, there were definitely things I missed about the States, but I've spent 9/10 of my life here and I'm a change junkie.

Well, there's a lot of variation in the amount of leave American workers get.

Where I work, most people get 19-26 days of annual leave every year, which works out to around 4-5 weeks counting weekends.

While I would not give up my US Citizenship, I would definitely move overseas if I had the opportunity. My goal is when I hit retirement age several decades from now is to become an expat, I'm looking at you Southeast Asia!
