Of course I love a good Philly accent, especially picking it out on people when I'm travelling.
But I also really love the New Orleans and the classic Southern accent in Charleston/Savannah.
I like some of the southern accents. However, especially as of recently, I've really been liking the New Jersey accent. I like how they talk and how they say the long "ah" sound instead of the "er" or "uhr" sound. Like instead of Car (ca-er), they say "Caah" of "Caa", instead of Door, they say like "Doa", instead of Water, they say "Uodaah".
How many people have met from NJ? I've never heard anyone day Uodaah. Maybe Wah-da not Uodaah. NYers do it, too.
Like the NJ and NY accent, so colourful. Southern accent is nice too, at least when it isn't too strong. Minnesota/upper Midwest is probably my favourate though, makes the people sound so jolly.
Definitely the Low Country accent of South Carolina and Georgia. Very lilting and musical. I could listen to my aunt all day...she has a classic example of this accent. I love the way they drop their 'r's... 'birthday' is 'boothday', 'tournament' is 'tunamint', and so on.
BTW, Paula Deen does NOT have a Low Country accent. She is from Albany in SW GA...much more of a twang in their speech.
Hands down, Southern accents make
me weak in the knees lol
Whether it's from Tennessee,
Mississippi, or Texas.....
I find that Southern twang unbelievably sexy
