Unless you are driving very very very very fast, 10 hours for from Cleveland is still in the middle of nowhere and likely to be cold. Look into some airline tickets.
Actually to New York is less than 8 same as for Philly and Virginia Beach is about 10 and a half hrs
Google maps says 10 hrs 33 min but honestly I've found they are fairly conservative in their estimates. Even when going right around the speed limit I've gotten to places at least 30 minutes before when Google maps says I was supposed to get there. And regardless, I don't think the extra 33 minutes would necessarily be a deal-breaker for the OP like an extra 3-4 hours would be.
That's what I keep telling my girlfriend about a trip to Virginia Beach is traffic in DC she doesn't understand that the map probably doesn't take into account how bad the Baltimore-Washington area is with traffic
The mid-Atlantic Beaches (MD/DE/NJ) are about 8 hours from Cleveland and are close to the big cities if you want to stop. It won't be that warm, but is usually milder than Cleveland. Expect days in the 50s on average, but there can be some winter-like days and also some nice late spring-like days. It can also be sunny or rainy, and windy days can take the fun out of the spring sun, so weather will be a crapshoot, Try to leave around 7 AM so you can reach the cities just after lunch time so you can avoid the worst traffic. Northeastern NC is right at 10 hours and that may offer the warmest weather based on your criteria (days in the 60s with a few 50s), and you can always stop at Richmond, DC, or Pittsburgh along the way if you want your city fix. Plus, for lodging you'll be paying less than you would in the summer for all of these places, and there are still lots of things open on weekends and some places are open all week. The off-season isn't quite the ghost town like it was 20 years ago.
In March Virginia Beach can be quite cold. Average high is in the 50s but the weather changes a lot that time of year. You could get lucky and have a 70 degree day, or it could snow. The only guarantee of warm weather in March is in south Florida
Fly down to Florida. Allegiant Airlines flies out of Youngstown which is one hour from Cleveland...nonstop to St Petersburg/Clearwater, Fort Myers or Orlando/Sanford. You can get to St Pete/Clearwater for around $200 Roundtrip. Clearwater Beach's average high in March is 76 degrees.
Nothing 10 hours from Cleveland is going to be all that warm in March. Montauk, Long Island (NY) is a cool spot - also the Hamptons are fun for partying.
Also maybe Atlantic City, NJ although it might be longer than 10 hours and again, not exactly warm in March.
