In Iowa, I'd have to say from Le Claire (just north of I-80) along the Mississippi River up to Marquette. It's an extremely scenic part of the Midwest. If people saw pictures of it, they would never believe it was Iowa...which is traditionally believed to be just flat and full of cornfields.
Northeast Iowa, especially along the Mississippi, is probably one of the most picturesque parts of the country during mid-October. The color show along with the general topography is quite remarkable.
Maryland has so much. Though the Eastern Shore, Ocean City, and the Appalachians are great, the Chesapeake -- I think we all can agree -- is the most loved.

New Mexico: Taos and the northern mountain area
Masschusetts: Cape Cod, especially the outer Cape around the National Seashore.
Washington: San Juan Islands
Arizona: Flagstaff/Sedona area in Northern AZ
Colorado: San Juan mountain range around Telluride/Durango/Ouray
Oregon: Cannon Beach/coastal area
Vermont: Lake Champlain islands
New York: Ithaca/Finger Lakes area
New Hampshire: Lakes region
Maine: Boothbay Harbor/Camden/Rockland
Connecticut: Litchfied Hills area
Rhode Island: Block Island
I've never been to Sedona, never really looked at pictures of it before, but holy crap it's like the best of trees and desert in one.
My answer is Rocky Mountain National Park. There's so many cities and towns that have a pleasantness about them that it would be a fruitless task to name them all (and my list would be quite atypical).
The Jersey Shore and the Northwest corner of the state, with the mountains and Delaware Water Gap to name two.
