What is the most major/influential city of each region? The capital.

In my opinion
Northeast: Boston/New York (Tie)
Midwest: Chicago
South: Dallas for the West-South. East-South: Atlanta.
West: Los Angeles for the South-West. Seattle for the PacNW.

I think it would be more like this.

New England- Boston

Northeast/midatlantic- New York

Southeast- Atlanta

Midwest- Chicago

Great Plains/Rockies- Denver

Southwest- Dallas

West Coast- Los Angeles

Northwest- Seattle

I agree with this except that Dallas is a part of the Southwest.
