Exactly my point..."Family Oriented" Not everyone is looking for a family oriented city. I'll take a city with plethora of options if you are a single person.

You can always move to Coastal Orange County. Huntington Beach and Seal Beach are still pretty laid and genuine, with totally different vibes than LA

???? There is nowhere in the Midwest where you have to hibernate even six months, much less nine months because of harsh winter weather. Even if you are from Duluth that would probably be an exaggeration!

I live in Michigan and the most we ever have to "hibernate" due to winter weather is December through March, or four months, and that's only if March doesn't get into the 50s, which it often does. That's four months, and Michigan is in the Upper Midwest and surrounded by the Great Lakes. April through November are temperate, dare I say even "desirable" here.

Are you sure you aren't from the Yukon?

Oh, please, Charlotte is a snoozefest compared to Phoenix.

Don't even get me started on Raleigh.
