I view the flag as treason.

sign of racism--if not, and it's a sign of "southern pride", then to what, exactly, is "southern pride" supposed to allude?

I'm 26. I was born in SC and have lived the past 10 years (except for 1) in SC, but I grew up in the North, and both my parents are from the North.

Maybe that explains your abbreviated outlook, reckon?

Who really cares? I never owned a Rebel flag till today. So, anybody want to come try and take it down? I didn't think so.

It wouldn't be the first time I pissed on a confederate flag.

I own one and have indeed actually flown it up here, which has gained me some odd looks, but I break it out on certain historic days to show affinity with my brothers on the better side of the Mason-Dixon line. In line with it being April, it has been out/up for the past few days, and I'm considering leaving it up for the rest of the month. If I go away long distance though, I take it in to avoid ignorant punks disrespecting it.

If you hate New Jersey so much, why don't you leave? Surely, you'll be able to fly your (racist) flag with no problem back down South.

The "Rebel" flag was the flag of the Confederacy. What it is now is history, same as the Union Jack. So, who the Hell cares unless you've got no life other than to spend time asking really stupid questions such as yours?
Get a life and do something worthwhile. Maybe then you can feel human.
