Feels like it started in 1970 and hasn't stopped.

I can't even blame the babyboomers, the 60's really were an amazing decade. There really was something in the water.

But the nostalgia can get tiresome.

Anyways..

You are probably referring to the current big hype about 50th anniversary of The Beatles
arrival to New York for the Ed Sullivan Show, can't believe it was 50 years ago
CBS is showing a concert tomorrow night with Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr,
should be good, I'm watching I can't get enough of The Beatles

In the 70s, a lot of were listening to 1950's music. American Graffiti, Happy Days, Grease.

Drugs, moral decay, lack of support for troops fighting in a foreign war, I really don't see much to celebrate here. Cool cars and some good music though, but that does not outweigh the trouble brought to our culture by that decade.

The 60’s & 70’s was a time to become aware and informed. They were good times for some and sad for others with the Vietnam war going on. Most of the people I knew wanted things to improve in the world and change was coming. Today things seem to remain stagnant for too many.
