Why are NYC, Chicago and Seattle even on this list? I feel like they get some of the most praise on this forum.
This forum is filled with a lot people who prefer liberal, urban, walkable cities. With that being said, that is why I picked Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Phoenix, and Atlanta: all five are known as being extremely sprawled out suburbia and with the exception of Detroit, conservative (at least compared to a few on this list that's for sure).
Phoenix is going to get a lot of hate soon for the "Freedom Bill" and a lot of other BS our legislators have tried passing recently. At this time, because of the "Freedom Bill", Phoenix will probably be #1 for a bit.
I see Detroit is winning the poll, but I don't see Detroit as being hated. Hated means despised, but Detoit isn't despised, it is just known across the country as being a dangerous wasteland (sadly). That doesn't mean it's hated. I'd say NYC and LA are the most hated. Maybe Miami and Central CA also.
i decided i hate them all. it's an american sort of thing: it's less about who we are for as who we are against. but, of course, we're fully functional. heck, we even know how to share our deep, inner feelings with emoticons.
