Well im bias because I was born there but Dayton is my favorite little city. I grew up collecting maple syrup and getting paid in maple syrup for helping. Plus we were young and got to drive the four wheeler every year. Camping out in the summers when school was out and building tree houses and zip lines that connected them. Making Ewok villages and digging ponds. Digging earthen mounds and forts. Finding frogs, elusive salamadners, box turtles, deer, raccoon, geese, ducks, possum. Being very active playing in the woods, playing baseball, football, basketball, ramping bikes, riding skatebaords. Eating home grown vegetables like cucumbers, the best beef steak and cherry tomatos ever. Meeting some really cool people that are still friends of mine after all these years.

Learning Ohio history was really* fun. Eating natural rhubarb, starwberries, carrots, blackberries, wild grapes, honeysuckle. Having Indiana as a good neighbor. Being close to just about anything. To living in downtown lofts, meeting very talented muscians, going to a lot of local music shows. Seeing all kinds of unique houses with a lot of character. Going to the art museum, public libraries, seeing a lot of aviation history. Meeting people from India, Africa, Korea. Going on trips to Kinds Island and the Cincinnati Zoo. Having a dad that had a recording studio in the garage. He also had lots of fish tanks and different types of fish as a hobby for awhile. Rooting for alot of sports teams. Boating, canoeing, renting a pontoon at a lake.

Sledding, trying to ski and trying to snowboard. Good snowy christmas's. Nice fall Thanksgivings with a lot of color and food. Going to a family Baptist church and hearing the older people sings songs was something I will never forget. Good fourth of July celebrations evey year. Meeting lots of old timer veterans. Paintball wars, customizing bikes, movie theaters, imax theater. Fossil hunting, arrowhead hunting, visting the indian mounds and learning about the many Indian tribes that were in Ohio. Plus I got to visit my grandma on Floridas nature coast and see the jungles, clear, blue, and green water with alligators, ancient looking vines and moss, storks, turtles, snakes, raccoon. That stuff was amazing as a kid it was like being in a dinosaur book. I could probably go on but. . .

I hope others have some of the same good memories of it.

I heard somewhere, the other day, that it is famous for low price and high quality heroin.
Really? I never had a chance to purchase any heroin in Baltimore, and I've been there several times. I usually travel with mine...but it is fun to lurk around some shady alley looking to buy it from a strung-out street vendor. Good times.
