Never found socks and sandals to be a good look, but if they like that up there, more power to them.

Lots of people wore these 24/7 during summers where I grew up (Door County, WI). Obviously, this doesn't work in February, but it was a full-on beach culture during good weather. West Coast of Michigan has similar pockets. I personally hate those things...

In Denver, sandals/flip flops are common, except in winter. Have have flip flops on the front porch, garage, and back door, so I can slip into them when I step outside (we don't wear shoes in the house).

I've heard people in some places have a problem with this, but dudes here (including me) will wear flip flops with jeans and a t-shirt.
