Depends. In 2014, Florida is supposed to exceed NY in population. But we'll have to see how Florida can support a constant influx of people. We don't even know what type of people we're getting.

Does that then make Florida a greater place than New York? Was/is it a lesser place before/now?
My guess is that if you think Florida is better than New York, you probably weren't thinking strictly about population when you made that determination since Florida's population is currently lower than New York's, and if/when Florida's population exceeds New York it probably is not going to change your opinion too much......but it's just a guess.

I can't really tell what conclusion you drew from my post, but I'm just saying that even though Florida's population will exceed NY, we don't know if that might even be a benefit to Florida. For all we know, it might make things worse than what they already are. OTOH, NY might even be benefiting from slow population growth.

My conclusion was that you said it depends on whether the population exceeds NY, and I basically asked why it depends on that. Seems like I misinterpreted it.
