i want to know how long someone has to be married to a us citizen (just for the purpose of citizenship) before they get their greencard and can get a divorce. i know someone who was stupid enough to marry a brazilian to help her and now he wants out but doesnt want to get in trouble. what a loser!

gay marriage in Mass. if a gay U S citizen was to marry a person from another contry, is it the same as a man and woman do the same thing. as I understand things if a U S citizen marrys a person from another contry they become a U S citizen is this the same for gay marriage?

I think it's 2 or 3 years.

I'm amazed at how many people I've met in Chicago who married for citizenship. Most of them have been gay guys from other countries marrying women in Chicago who are friends of friends and cool with it. They just room together for a few years and go their own ways...
