Please explain your reasoning for your pick, as well.

Thank you!

Depends on whereabouts in Delaware.

I would probably take New Jersey over Southern Delaware but if you are talking about New Castle County in particular then I guess I would take Delaware because you are just as close to the same amenities that New Jersey has plus you have lower taxes (such as no sales tax).

I'm not a huge fan of either state, but if I had to pick one, I'd take Delaware, in particular New Castle County. That area has the same amenities as South Jersey (employment, retail, proximity to Philadelphia, etc.) but with a lower cost of living, lower taxes, lower auto insurance, a better network of highways, and so on.

North Jersey is too crowded for my liking, and southern Delaware is too rural (though I do like Lewes).

Delaware is much more scenic and much less congested than New Jersey to the point where it's ultimately more livable, assuming you don't need a job or have one already lined up. The people in Delaware are less rude and in-your-face as well.

New Jersey

Because I prefer to be living in the New York City area if I'm not living in the Washington, D.C. area.

Plus, the view of the Manhattan skyline approaching from New Jersey is THE SHIZNIT.

New Jersey. As somebody said, it really is underrated. But, I'm a little biased -- I am born and raised in this state. But, honestly, I love all the amenities that come with the state (and, albeit, high taxes). But I also love not having to pay tax when I go grocery shopping or get new clothes.

Delaware. New Jersey is way too dense, congested, expensive and the people SUCK (think of Chris Christie).
