[quote=Iamtheman2;40246010]you mean black guys? Black men with white women is commonly everywhere in the USA and people have to accept it whether they want to or not. It was not even worth it for me to mention.
Or do you mean white guys? White guys get their pick of the litter even in the most racist areas in the USA they can date any kind of women they want without facing issues at all.
The issue is with brown and Asian men dating women of other races, especially white women. American media does all it can to make sure that white women do not date anyone except for black or white men by throwing negative stereotypes on most ethnic groups. Even brown and asian women in the USA for the most part are desperate for a white guy.
In terms of interracial relationships, the main issue that exists in modern day is white women that look good dating guys that are not black or white themselves. In most places people will be openly racist to such couples, treat that couple like trash, and let it be known that they do not belong together.
Fortunately in California, it is not a big issue, but I am pretty sure if a Wilmer Valderamma lookalike dating a hot blonde in a state like North Carolina, it would cause a lot of problems.[/QUOTE
Depends where in North Carolina. not the cities and not anywhere near the military bases.. I had tons of mixed races friends back home there. Not really a thing.
East coast cities generally tend to have tighter knit communities, whereas out West it's more family-centric and hence others stick their nose in your business less. Tight knit communities often center around ethnic ties.
Interracial marriage, particularly when it involves a white person, is often seen as a form of social climbing (especially if you're marrying a blonde or redhead person). Social climbing goes against community values. Hence, it's more rare on the East coast. It should be noted that this stigma doesnt just exist between races but even within the white race. Think of the uproar it would cause in a tight knit Jewish community if a swarthy Jewish man marries a blonde blue eyed woman.

I agree that the communities on the East Coast - well, at least in the Northeast - are tighter-knit and tend to center around ethnic ties, yes.
However, to deny that communities in the West don't also center around ethnic ties would be disingenuous at best, especially when we're talking about states like California, Utah and New Mexico.
In the Greater Los Angeles area alone, I can think of many communities that center around ethnic ties. Off the top of my head -
-Long Beach (Cambodian)
-Glendale (Armenian)
-Hollywood / West Hollywood (Russian)
-Beverly Hills (Jewish, Persian)
-Garden Grove (Vietnamese)
-Santa Ana (Mexican)
-Alhambra (Chinese)
In Utah, you have the Mormons. In New Mexico, you have Mexicans, Native Americans and those descended from Spanish colonists.
The other Western states, however, are more "general American," if you will, and don't have as many ethnocentric communities. Mostly a white non-Hispanic culture that blended elements of German, English, Scotch-Irish, Dutch, etc. as people gradually migrated westward over generations.
It's important to note that the distinction between ethnocentric communities on the West Coast relative to those on the East Coast is there tend to be far fewer white ethnocentric white communities on the West Coast, e.g., Italian, Irish, Polish, etc.
A lot of Americans from the East - I lived on the East Coast for 20 years, FYI - would probably downplay or be dismissive of non-white ethnocentric communities, saying they don't really count.
Regarding your comment about "out-marrying" among non-Hispanic whites - I use that term endearingly, as my second-generation Italian-American grandmother once used that term to describe an Italian- / Irish-American wedding - I agree with regard to social climbing.
I saw that with my own grandfather and his brother, both of whom married multi-generational Irish- / English-American girls. They were wanted to distance themselves from their Italian-American heritage and figured that marrying fairer-haired, multi-generational "All-American" girls would help them achieve that.
In a way, it did.
I see my Asian and, to a lesser extent, Latina girlfriends doing the same thing 100 years later. They *ONLY* date white men, which, for them, is a subconscious - or in some cases, fully conscious - way of further assimilating to American culture and distancing themselves from their immigrant families.

Why on earth would you have listed "Mormons" as an ethnic group? That's like saying, "I love all kinds of fruits: apples, peaches, oranges, Halibut, raspberries, plums and pomegranates.

When I travel away from Kentucky / Southern Indiana I'm always surprised whether I go north or south how much fewer mixed race couples there are. South of Nashville or north of Indy and there seems to be a big drop off. I was surprised how few I saw around Chicago.
Given that the West and the East both have diverse and relatively undiverse areas, integrated and segregated areas, why do you figure that interracial marriage is more common out West than it is in the East?
This is a very profound answer (the great racial divide) is not as deep in the west as it is in the east and other areas of the United States of America.
Black's , Brown's, Red's, Yellow's and White's on the west coast aren"t adversed to Holy Matrimony as they would otherwise be in other areas of the country.

I saw a lot of people of mixed racial Heritage in Chicago , so that means a lot of stuff is going on behind the scenes ....even if it's not marriage.

A nearby US Military base like Fort Knox with its active duty, retierees and brats can affect the local numbers

It is true. I am a black man in LA that love black women. I have had black women brag about how white men treat them better. LA women are hard to deal with.
